Thursday 16th June 2009 - Cullompton - We kicked off the season with an open day at our base in Cullompton. Click here for this show’s website.
Thursday 16th July 2009 - Launceston - We ventured over the Cornish border for our second event which was held at Kennards House, Launceston, Cornwall. The rain fell from 10am until 5pm but we still generated plenty of interest and met lots of very interesting Cornish folk. Click here for this show’s website.
Saturday 25th August 2009 - Mid Devon - Back to home ground for our local show held, as usual, at Hartnoll Farm, Post Hill, Tiverton. It was a great day, once we’d been towed onto our pitch by a very helpful neighbour and his 4x4 - damp ground but not damp spirits. Click here for this show’s website.
Thursday 30th July 2009 - Totnes - The event, held at Great Court Farm, Berry Pomeroy, Totnes should’ve been cancelled due to the rain - we couldn’t get onto the showground on the Wed to set up!. However, the organisers went ahead anyway in spite of treacherous conditions - next year’s move to a Saturday event might just save them from a mass boycott. Click here for this show’s website.
Thursday 6th August 2009 - Honiton - second-most local event, at the Showground, Fairmile, Honiton, was also rain affected but with a brolly and a smile most visitors had a good day, as did we. Click here for this show’s website.
Thursday 13th August 2009 - Okehampton - Event number 6 was at the Stoney Park Showground, Holsworthy Road, Okehampton. Now used to soggy ground conditions, at least the sun shined and visitors had a good and varied day. Click here for this show’s website.
Thursday 20th August 2009 - Chagford - To the edge of Dartmoor for our penultimate show which was held at the Show field, Dogmarsh Bridge, Chagford. Sunny spells and lots of visitors to our marquee made this one of the better shows this year. Click here for this show’s website.
Thursday 27th August 2009 - Holsworthy & Stratton - To North-East Devon for our final show held at the Holsworthy Showground, Killatree Cross. We had to be towed onto our pitch but we had an enjoyable day with some great visitors. The rain held off until after we had packed up and then a very helpful young farmer towed us out with his tractor. Click here for this show’s website.
